La Piramide

La Piramide is an installation piece consisting of 240 thin colored wafers hung outside in the patio of a traditional Pueblan home. The Mexican government was expropriating lands from the indigenous that had farmed around the pyramid of Cholula, protests were held, but not even the hands of thousands of people around the pryramid hand in hand could make this happen. La Piramide is an act of protest, where a traditional child's sweet is hung beautifully in a pyramid, immediately destroyed by winds, rain and even hungry birds. The installation was created in September as part of a two person show in Duermevela in Puebla, Mexico.
